High precision valve positioning
When it comes to high-precision control of pneumatic linear and rotary actuators in various industries and applications, Siemens offers electro-pneumatic positioners in two versions SIPART PS2 and SITRANS VP300.
SIPART PS2 is used to control the actuator of pneumatic linear and rotary actuators. The electro-pneumatic positioner controls the movement of the actuator, moving the valve to the position corresponding to the set value. Additional function inputs can be used to block the valve or set it to a fail-safe position. For these purposes, a standard binary input is provided in the basic configuration of the device.

SITRANS VP300 is used for continuous position adjustment of valves and valves on single or double acting actuators. Options include a HART communication device, an alarm module with digital inputs and outputs, and a position feedback module. The instrument is also available with Ex ia and Ex n explosion protection. As another option, the SITRANS VP300 can be supplied as a SIL device.
