Tower cooling towers

Natural circulation cooling towers

The principle of operation of such cooling towers is based on air convection, when hot air naturally rises up through the opening of the tower. These cooling towers are mainly used in the energy sector, but can also be installed in other industrial facilities. Cooling of large volumes of water is possible.

Advantages:

  • Lack of energy costs for the operation of fans;
  • No recycling;
  • Low cost of maintenance and spare parts;
  • Small losses of thermal energy.

Forced circulation cooling towers:

Similar in design to natural circulation cooling towers, but equipped with fans to increase efficiency. The fans are installed either in the air intake openings or on the platform above the heat exchange elements. Increasing the air flow speed allows to reduce the overall dimensions of the structure.

Advantages:

  • Lower investment costs compared to natural circulation cooling towers;
  • LNo recycling;
  • LReducing the cost of electricity for the operation of fans due to the effect of traction.
